Request to Remove eBay Late Shipment Defect Training
In eBay, you will receive a Late Shipment Defect when your package did not get an arrival scan with the courier within your handling time. As we normally ship items within our handling time but courier sometimes fail to scan the package immediately, we get a Late Shipment Defect which do not deserve and this affects our store performance rating. That's why we must appeal for removal.
Procedures:
1. Login to the an eBay store you are handling and go to https://www.ebay.com.au/sellerhelp/defect
- The web page will look like this once accessed:
2. Under the Action column, look for the ones with Request to remove option and click it:
- When you click the request to remove button, the interface will look like the image below:
- You can get the Buyer ID to check the order records in CS backend, check the dispatch date and tracking status.
- Select an appropriate reason under the Tell us what happened section depending on what really happened on the order.
- Provide additional details to support your appeal as shown on the example below.
- Click on Send request after selecting the reason and providing additional information supporting your appeal
Reasons:
- Posted on time (shown in tracking) - Select this reason if the order was sent out on the next business day from the date of purchase and it reflects on the delivery status on the tracking website.
- Delivered on time (shown in tracking) - Select this reason if the order is delivered within the ETA and it reflects on the delivery status on the tracking website.
- Severe weather caused postal delay - Select this reason if the dispatch or delivery is affected by any severe weather conditions (flood, storm, bush fire etc..
- Disruption outside my control... - Select this reason if the dispatch was delayed due to buyer's fault (wrong/incomplete address) or any courier related issues, any issue outside of our control.
3. After submitting your request, the interface will look like the image below:
4. Repeat the same steps from the start until you finish sending appeals for all the transactions with defects.
