Event Type: eBay Order Payment Error Detail: Paid Amount Doesn’t Match (Courier Issue)
One of the causes of shortfall issues in the system events is the courier type. A careful review is needed.

This order shows that there is a shortfall of $107.14. In this case, we need to check why is there such a short payment. Check the price and shipping fee:
The courier is eParcel Express and the shipping fee would be $107.14. Check shipping cost in eBay Backend since the item is ordered from eBay:
It shows that buyer has chosen express shipping in eBay. Hence, we need to ask for payment by sending a shortfall notice to the buyer via eBay contact. Please note that it is very important to specify “express shipping” in your message. If the pay, immediately contact warehouse to send the item out asap. However, in some cases, buyer will not pay and will deny that he/she has chosen express shipping. In this case, contact IT, Michel Zhang, to request to change courier into standard type and to process the order.
In some cases, free shipping items in eBay may have a system error showing that an express delivery is also free. Please see an example below:
In this case, you need to confirm it with Wendy Zhang. Usually, there is no free express shipping.
How to check express shipping cost in eBay:
- 1. Go to product listing on our eBay website.
- 2. Click on “Express Postage” (see below).
- 3. Input buyer’s postcode and click “Get Rates”. Refer to image below:
