This system event is normally caused by an error in the shipping address provided by the customer. Usually, fixing the address will solve the issue. However, since the system event states about free shipping, you should always double check the postage fee on the listing page based on the order source.

Procedures:

  • Step 1: Check the order source as you need to check the postage and shipping address on the store platform later. If the shipping address is not saved or incomplete, you will need to fix it.:

  • Step 2: Check the address taken by the system as shown below:

  • Step 3: Copy and paste the details on the corresponding boxes in the shipping address area and click Save Address:

  • Step 4: After saving the address, change the order status to Processing unless the item is still under presale. However, if the order remains On Hold, check the order change log and the payment amount. In this example, you will see that after you fixed the address the postage fee has changed and thus the payment amount does not match:

  • Step 5: Since the order source of this sample order is Oz-Auction, you will need to confirm the postage fee charged in eBay backend:

  • Step 6: Since it shows that there is a certain amount charged for postage in eBay, you will need to copy the amount and adjust the postage in the CS backend. Just mark on Fixed and input the correct postage amount. Provide your reason and click on Update item information.

  • Step 7: You should be able to change the order status to Processing now, unless the item is still under presale. If everything is good, you can now Finish the system event.
