For Change of Mind cases, an item must be return in its original packaging, unopened and in resalable condition. If the buyer already opened the package, advise the buyer to pack it back into its its original packaging and make sure all the parts and accessories are included. The following are the conditions listed on our store policy for Change of Mind:
- If buyer changed mind after receiving an item, we provide a return service that 30 days refund and buyer pays the return postage. Under the Distance Selling Regulations (DSR), buyer has a statutory duty throughout the period of cancellation, to retain possession of the goods that have been delivered and take reasonable care of them.
- If buyer cancels the contract under the Distance Selling Regulations, buyer must return the goods to us at buyer's own expense. Buyer must take reasonable care to ensure that we receive the goods and the goods are not damaged in transit. Failure to do so might result in a breach of buyer's statutory duty to take reasonable care and we will have a right of action against buyer to withhold a refund.
- If buyer cancels the contract under the Distance Selling Regulations and do not return the goods as required, we may charge buyer our direct costs of recovering the goods.
- Note: No shipping and handling fees refund if buyer changed mind after purchasing the goods.
What to do:
- If the buyer opened a return request via eBay, make sure that it states buyer pays for the return postage. If that is so, send message as first reply. The message should include our Change of Mind template. After sending the message, accept the return and provide the dispatch order number as our RMA number. If you have already click on Accept return, you have no option to send the message but to contact buyer via eBay.
- If the buyer requested a return due to change of mind via email, send the Change of Mind template to the buyer.
- Make sure to Cancel a transaction via eBay. Click here for procedures on how to cancel a transaction in eBay.
